Prepared correspondence

  • Request for Repairs letter - Deliver this Request for Repairs letter in addition to filing a maintenance request to hold management accountable for keeping the premises maintained.
    • For example, if your window has cracked and is leaking cold air in, this is a serious issue that will cause you discomfort or health issues as well as financial issues to heat your apartment. This is a good example of an incident to use the Request for Repairs letter..
    • This letter must be hand delivered or mailed to the management office. It cannot be emailed.
    • This letter can allow the tenant to optionally file a rent escrow action. Normal repairs not done within 14 days are eligible to seek remedy in this manner. Emergency repairs are much sooner. Consult with an attorney for specifics.
